COURSE DESCRIPTION
Color mix - copper and silver, introduces new techniques in jewelry metal clay namely, the introduction of copper clay decoration and painting methods.
Decorating techniques are a beautiful way to highlight copper by applying intricate patterns and textures in relief in contrast to silver. The creations are unique and offer accessibility but also uniqueness.
You will create this splendid set of earrings and bracelet, decorated using templates created by your own tomorrow.
This course is recommended for students who have experience working with metal clay or have completed at least the introductory courses.
IN-DEPTH TECHNIQUES
- Copper - working methods
- Creation / design of stencils templates
- Creation of bracelets and earrings
- Copper decoration
- Finishing the decorated pieces
- Burning of parts, using activated carbon
- Finishing and polishing the burned parts
Students will be asked to come with their own tools:
- Spacers 3mm, 2mm
- Roller
- Rubber working support
- Teflon working surface
- Knife or Needle
- Paint brushes
- Spatula
- Steel blade
Usually we have a few jewelry models by default but we encourage everyone who attends the courses to come up with their own ideas and models. Only, in the end, the jewel belongs to you!

Corina Gheorghe is the founder and main instructor of ARTKIMIA - Art & Jewelry Studio (Metal Clay). She is known internationally as an artist and teacher specializing in metal clay and mixed jewelry. Corina has taught courses in various countries such as Spain, Belgium, Great Britain, USA and is a Board member of the worldwide organization AMCAW (Alliance for Metal Clay Arts Worldwide). She is the first Art Clay Certified Instructor in Romania and the one who introduced this brand, as well as the term "metal clay" in Romanian workshops.
