Vira Modeling paste with air drying - white 1 kg
Vira Hobby, the air dry modeling paste is ideal for creating simulations of the parts that you later want to create from metal clay. The two color variants allow you to get Mokume-Gane type mixes. Once dry, the clay can be used as a support to create pieces with fluid shapes.
Creative advice: It can also be mixed with water to obtain a liquid paste that you can apply by painting on various objects. As an example, it can be applied to the back of the leaves (green or dry) to create replicas with extraordinarily fine details.
CAREFUL! In the dry stage, it can be easily confused with metal clay!
The modeling clay from Vira is based on natural minerals and clay, it has a high plasticity and elasticity which makes the modeling very easy. The paste is white, but can be colored with various paints. The surface of the objects is fine, towards porcelain.
The clay is air dried, hardens in 12-24 hours depending on the thickness of the piece. During the drying process, the parts shrink very little. If you want to reduce the drying time, the part can be heated to very low temperatures. Careful! DO NOT dry in the oven or expose to the sun!
If working with molds or silicone molds, it is recommended that you first powder a small amount of cornstarch or talcum powder in the mold. Then place the clay over the desired pattern. You can remove the model from the mold / silicone mold immediately or in a few minutes. Carefully remove them as the part is still wet and may warp or break.
Vira modeling paste can be colored before modeling with acrylic paints or mica powders.
After drying, the parts made with Vira modeling paste are resistant and solid. The modeled objects can be decorated with gold, copper, silver foil, but also painted with chalk, acrylic paints, markers, water-based mixed media sprays, pigment or mica powders. Water-based varnish can also be applied for protection, either directly on the uncolored paste or on the decorated object. Careful! If you have colored the object with mica powders, it is recommended to apply spray varnish so as not to risk reactivating the powder.
The small imperfections of the dry parts can be corrected with the help of a very fine sandpaper.
Easy modeling both manually and with various modeling tools.
However, it is not suitable for making objects that will be kept out.
Vira modeling paste is not toxic. It can also be used by children, being perfect for the development of creative skills.
The modeling paste must be kept in the original packaging, closed as well as possible, even wrapped with food-grade plastic wrap, in a hermetically sealed plastic container.
Note: To keep it moist, include a few cleansing disks soaked in water, next to the package, in the bag or box where you store it.
