Hidden Riveting – Double Deck introduces a new riveting method and an innovative way to create the overlapping effect by riveting with silver beads.
Also in this course we will use techniques such as cutting in metal clay, application of front-back textures and the Keum-Boo gilding technique. See the creation of a superb piece of silver and gold, created in an ingenious way so that it can be worn on both sides.
This course is recommended for students who have experience working with metal clay or have completed at least the introductory courses.
IN-DEPTH TECHNIQUES
- Applying double-sided texture (sandwich)
- The cutout in metal clay
- Correct calculation of dimensions for applying rivets
- Gold application by Keum-boo technique
- Closing the beads by riveting.
- Finishing the piece
Usually we have a few jewelry models by default but we encourage everyone who attends the courses to come up with their own ideas and models. Only, in the end, the jewel belongs to you!

Corina Gheorghe is the founder and main instructor of ARTKIMIA - Art & Jewelry Studio (Metal Clay). She is known internationally as an artist and teacher specializing in metal clay and mixed jewelry. Corina has taught courses in various countries such as Spain, Belgium, Great Britain, USA and is a Board member of the worldwide organization AMCAW (Alliance for Metal Clay Arts Worldwide). She is the first Art Clay Certified Instructor in Romania and the one who introduced this brand, as well as the term "metal clay" in Romanian workshops.
