Chris Breeze

She is a journalist and a German teacher, and in her free time she devotes her passion to jewelry. He likes to be inspired by nature, art, movies and anything that arouses an emotion in him. He has a lot of imagination and the only thing he lacks is the time to realize all the ideas that come to his mind.

In 2016 he discovered metal clay, participating in a workshop organized by Argila de Metal, as it was then called Artkimia. He constantly participated in all the courses and workshops organized by Artkimia, also completing the Art Clay Silver Diploma Level 1 exam. She enjoys working most with silver and copper, which she often combines with gold leaf, stones, glass fusion, resin or enamel. He also loves mixed media jewelry, because of the infinite possibilities of combining materials. Go for the statement pieces, the ones that don't go unnoticed. He believes that a piece of jewelry must, first of all, surprise, the most important being the design. However, he does not neglect the execution of the piece either, looking for the best technical solutions for the realization of the proposed model. She is an adherent of "outside the box" thinking.

Cris Briz jewelry covers a wide stylistic range, from minimalism to organic or geometric style to pieces with elaborate art nouveau details. She often slips a playful note into her creations.

He believes that jewelry is more important than clothes. No matter how simple a coat is, it will be ennobled by a piece of jewelry, provided it has an original design. Jewelry is more than just an ornament, it is a way of expressing one's personality, a manifesto.

Pendant - Spider on an Autumn Leave

Perhaps the most beautiful thing for an artist is to discover and show the world what often goes unnoticed. A spider captured as it weaves its web on a dewy autumn leaf - an autumn painting masterfully modeled in metal clay. The autumn leaf is made of copper, covered with transparent resin to protect it from the effects of oxidation. The spider's web is made of pure silver and the cubic zirconia pebbles suggest the dew formed in the cool of the morning. From a delicate chain hangs the spider made of beads and silver wire.

Materials: 999 silver, copper, silver wire, beads, silver chain, CZ stones
dimensions: net diameter 6 cm, pendant length 17 cm
Weight: 39,8 g

Earrings - Versatility

The playful shapes and the silver-black-gold contrast make up the charm of these earrings. They are made of pure silver and are composed of two overlapping but sliding shapes. The back shape is oval and concave. The silver has been oxidized and embellished with rays made of 22K gold leaf. The front part is a convex shape, cut according to organic contours, which allows us to glimpse the golden rays of the back shape. The challenge of making this pair of earrings was to combine the concave and convex shapes and the contrast between the layer of bright pure silver with the underlying layer oxidized and marked with gold accents. An exercise in thought and a test of skill.
